As you play poker, you may or already have encountered a strategy that is called limping with aces. You can also check out online poker forums and websites for details on this poker tactic.

Its like this, when you play and you’re the first one to act or you’re under the gun and you have a hole cards of Aces with 9 more players after you, you decided to limp and call the blind. And then if you’re fortunate enough, someone will raise the bet for you.

When that happens, you can re-raise the bet and if you’re lucky you will not show any tell and if its your good day you’ll compete against a weaker set of cards and you’ll get a pot money on the pre-flop.

But what if there are actually 4 players who called and no one raises? And what if the blinds called too? If you want to play all night, then you must follow this: Its given that you’re still under the gun, with this you make a decent sized bet. Then afterwards, if someone called or more then you’ll have a player raise and that’s not good. The most appropriate thing to do is to fold your pocket Aces.

Experts say that if you want to stay longer in the game, you need to plan well. I think you need to start a decent pot sized bet and if there is a player raise, say two or more players called, it’s time for you to stop. Fold together your pocket aces when this situation arises and you’ll be save a lot of money.

Its hard to fold aces especially if the flop was ragged. But you have to remember that so far you only bet for the Big blind and wouldn’t really hurt your pocket.

You don’t need to waste your money because there is a chance that the other player’s already have a set with their hole cards and the ragged flop.

But what if the players has an open ended cards with double hit opportunity? Another big reason for you to fold.

Poker needs a lot of patience. Bear in mind that not all pocket Aces win. So live to fight another battle. Know when to limp and fold you aces.
